Hope

I think the Christmas season is a season of hope.

Throughout the year I have heard your stories of good and bad. Sadness or elation. Some have become sick in body or soul. Some have lost battles but won the war. Some have seen wonderful things transpire in their lives. Other's have experienced heartbreak and brokenness. Life is a surprise every day. And one day we will know all and see the tapestry from the "beautiful" side.

I want to leave you with a wonderful scripture of hope for this next new year. In Luke 4:18, Jesus said of Himself, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord!" Amen
